About Lions Clubs:

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization with 1.35 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs.  It is also one of the most effective service organization.  Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities.  Everywhere we work, we make friends.  With children who need eyeglasses, with people who don’t have enough to eat and with people we may never meet.

 

Lions have a dynamic history:

Founded in 1917, Lions Clubs International and its constituents are best known for fighting blindness - it's a part of our history as well as our work today.  But we also perform volunteer work for many diiferent kinds of community projects - including caring for environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.

I feel immense proud to say that I am a Lion because you see the joy in people’s hearts and they say thank you, and the smile of a child.  It’s all those things that make you realize you’ve done something for your community.

Being a senior Lion Member, service is always at heart and giving back to the community is a great pleasure.  I am able to contribute both financially as well as voluntary services in making the club's service projects more successful.

Trying to work out of my office commitments had always been a challenge. With Lions Club, I developed a new sense of achievement and felt proud in providing my time and efforts towards aiding the needy.  Thanks to Lions Club - a wonderful aggregation of talent!!
